FRSH OFF THE PRESS / STARFUCKER

Working for the Metro in Chicago I created a 3 color poster silkscreen poster for the band Starfucker. In print they often use the letters STRFKR. This poster has a very graphic shapes which will make printing alot easier. Here are some pics from the process:

NOSTALGIA PART ONE: NOVICE SKATEBOARDING

Nostalgia used to be so much better . . .  to paraphrase a quote from John Hodgman. Here are a few shots from my limited skateboard abilities when I was a younger upstart. The animated gif was made with a toy camera photos by Ken Richardson.

Heres a shot from the Richard Drive Ramp in Durango Coloardo doing a trick that was retro 15 years ago. . . Frontside Rock and Roll on the backyard mini. . .

FRESH OFF THE PRESS: CIRKESTRA

Ever wanted to run away with the circus? Let the band Cirkestra be your soundtrack with its brand of eastern European circus music. I worked with Cirkestra on their winter tour poster that I hand lettered (the main type) and made a 5 color silkscreen. Check them out if you get a chance but don’t forget your fez.

ON PRESS WITH DELIA

Delia Richardson stopped by the studio to be on press for her 6th birthday invites. She wanted a butterfly with the number 6 on it, and we used a transparent yellow so when it overprinted blue to get the greens. Delia helped out with the printing process with the racking of the paper and pulled a few prints. Photos by Ken Richardson check out his work at www.kenrichardsonphoto.com
